A highly respected law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Trials & Litigation practice in Los Angeles, California. This position is ideal for attorneys who are looking to deepen their litigation experience while handling sophisticated commercial disputes involving businesses, corporations, and other institutional clients.
The successful candidate will work on high-stakes litigation matters from inception through resolution, collaborating directly with clients, opposing counsel, and courts. Associates will gain meaningful responsibility, substantive litigation experience, and valuable exposure to complex commercial matters while building highly marketable advocacy skills.
This position rarely becomes available at this level and is actively interviewing qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities
• Manage complex commercial litigation matters through all phases of litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive litigation documents
• Conduct legal research and develop strategic litigation positions
• Collaborate directly with clients regarding litigation strategy and case developments
• Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel on litigation and settlement matters
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, conferences, and related proceedings
• Analyze legal issues and develop persuasive legal arguments
• Assist with discovery strategy, document review, and evidentiary development
• Support trial preparation and courtroom advocacy efforts
• Manage litigation deadlines and case management responsibilities
• Work closely with partners and litigation teams on sophisticated business disputes
• Maintain exceptional client service while handling multiple active matters

Qualifications
• 2–4 years of commercial litigation experience
• Active admission to the California Bar and good standing status
• Judicial clerkship experience strongly preferred
• Excellent academic credentials
• Superior legal writing and analytical abilities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience handling complex litigation matters preferred
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities
