Commercial Lines Account Manager Opportunity

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a large portfolio of small business insurance clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication, service, and account management
  • Manage policy renewals, endorsements, coverage changes, and day-to-day account servicing activities
  • Review client insurance needs and prepare coverage options, proposals, and quotations
  • Educate business owners on insurance products, coverages, and risk management solutions
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, process policy changes, and resolve service-related issues
  • Handle inbound client inquiries and provide timely, professional solutions to policy and coverage questions
  • Maintain accurate client records, policy documentation, and correspondence
  • Conduct occasional client visits and meetings as needed to strengthen relationships and support account retention
  • Collaborate closely with internal team members, underwriters, and leadership to ensure exceptional client service
  • Manage a high-volume book of business while maintaining strong attention to detail and responsiveness
  • Focus primarily on client retention, relationship management, and service rather than new business prospecting or cold calling

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, including commercial lines, personal lines, or related account management roles
  • Experience as an Account Manager, Customer Service Representative, Account Coordinator, Insurance Agent, or similar client-facing insurance professional
  • Strong understanding of policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, and insurance coverage concepts
  • Ability to review insurance options and present recommendations clearly to clients
  • Excellent relationship-building, customer service, and communication skills
  • Experience working directly with business owners or commercial insurance clients is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience using agency management systems or insurance software platforms is preferred
  • Property & Casualty License preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain licensing
  • Mandarin language skills are strongly preferred due to the client base and communication needs of the role
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Demonstrated employment stability and commitment to providing long-term client service
  • Must be comfortable working in a fully onsite, team-oriented environment
