A community-focused financial institution with a strong commitment to relationship banking is seeking a Commercial/Ag Lender to support continued growth within its commercial and agricultural lending division. The Commercial/Ag Lender will be responsible for developing new business relationships, structuring tailored credit solutions, and managing an existing portfolio while maintaining strong asset quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and middle-market lending relationships
• Originate and structure agricultural, C&I, and commercial real estate loan opportunities
• Structure and negotiate credit facilities, including lines of credit, term loans, and real estate financing
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to assess credit risk
• Prepare and present loan packages and recommendations to the loan committee
• Monitor portfolio performance to ensure strong asset quality and regulatory compliance
• Cross-sell deposit and treasury management services to deepen client relationships
• Participate in community engagement and business development initiatives
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding financing needs and opportunities

Required Qualifications:

• 2–4+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or commercial/ag lending within a banking environment
• Agricultural background or strong familiarity with ag lending preferred
• Proven ability to generate new business and grow a loan portfolio
• Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting skills
• Experience with C&I and commercial real estate lending structures
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending policies
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
• Established local business network preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
