Coiled Tubes Services Operator - Houston TX
LOCATION: Houston - Texas - USA
DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN
Key Responsibilities
Performs winding and coiling of tubing as well as assistance on the coiled tubes process, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operates HPU at the coiling operation.
- Operates the area forklift to perform line activities and scrap, equipment, and consumables transportation.
- Leads material packaging installation.
- Assist with the set up of customer work reels and customer coiled tubing units.
- Leads the document and the tracking system update and interpretation.
- Assists with Laydown operations for concentric installations.
- Operates the Level winder at the spooling operation.
- Applies rust inhibitor to the pipe during spooling operation.
- Assists with the loading and unloading the spool to the foundation.
- Assists with line set-up for the internal orders and customer equipment.
- Performs visual inspection during coiling and notifies Quality.
- Carries out and controls pipe coiling in the spool and spool HPU positioning.
- Identifies and controls key quality aspects of product for final acceptance.
- Performs accessory installations, replacements, material handling.
- Assists machine lock outs and tag outs and does operative maintenance.
- Identifies and interprets job instructions and activities from existing information systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work in a team and maintain a good attitude.
- Familiar with operating a forklift.
- Familiar with operating an overhead crane
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and / or weekend work.
- Familiar with ERW process and the Tubing Industry a plus.
