Position Purpose

MBA's current need is for a field inspector that can cover projects throughout our Mid-Atlantic service area. Our field inspectors are part of a team, and play an integral part in the successful completion of water tank painting and rehabilitation projects. This position requires extensive travel.


Essential Functions

  • Be on site anytime the painting contractor is on site working, including weekends.
  • Read and understand project specs detailing work to be done, as well as construction drawings.
  • Monitor atmospheric conditions and application conditions (blast quality, cleanliness, paint coverage) throughout the day.
  • Record and document work performed on a daily basis, including taking photos.
  • Maintain good communications with the Contractor, Customer, and Co-workers.
  • Travel to job sites for an extended period of time.
  • Work weekends.


Qualifications

  • High School Graduate.
  • College or Military Experience is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to get to job sites, and valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Comfortable accessing and working at heights that exceed 100 feet.
  • Ability to climb vertical ladders.
  • Capable of bending, crouching, and standing for periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
  • Ability to access and work in confined spaces.

Benefits 

Salary range $65,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience, Health Insurance, HSA, 401K Plan, Vehicle allowance, Paid Vacation Days.
