Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist

Job Description

Operate a variety of CNC machining centers and turning centers with precision and efficiency. Work with tight tolerances on parts and verify accuracy using gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Position, align, and secure workpieces, potentially using locating fixtures. Select and prepare tools to accommodate varying conditions and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machining and turning centers.
  • Achieve and maintain tight tolerances on parts.
  • Check own work using gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Position, align, and secure workpieces.
  • Select and prepare tools for varying conditions and materials.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in CNC operations with setup expertise.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with CNC Vertical, CNC Horizontal, and CNC Turning centers.
  • Familiarity with brands such as Mazak, Makino, Puma, Hyundai Kia/Wia, and Haas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sussex, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
