This position suits someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable with manufacturing equipment, and committed to maintaining high quality standards and production quotas.

  • Gauge parts and perform in-process inspections to verify dimensions and quality.
  • Conduct quality checks on materials and finished components to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, and tape measures accurately to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
  • Monitor machines during operation and respond promptly to basic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all materials and parts are up to specification before, during, and after production runs.
  • Apply basic mathematics to measure, calculate, and confirm dimensions and quantities.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Follow lean manufacturing and KPI-driven processes, contributing to continuous improvement and productivity goals.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of steel-toe footwear and other required protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with manufacturing and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet or exceed daily production and quality targets.
  • Be available for required additional daily work time and occasional weekend hours as directed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating multiple machines in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Hands-on experience using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures for measurement and inspection.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics for measurements, counts, and simple calculations.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production with exposure to inspection and quality checks.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing and KPI-driven environment.
  • Ability to consistently follow established processes without performing machine setup or programming.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-throughput production environment.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work required additional hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in CNC machine operation within a high-volume production facility.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes and using precision gauging tools.
  • Comfort working with standardized workflows and production metrics.
  • Interest in future growth into areas such as machine setup, programming, or lead roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a large team of machine operators.
