Overview:

The position is for a CNC Machinist I, in South Seattle, WA. Responsible for setting up and operating Bridgeport style manual mills and manual lathes independently. Our company is a job shop, and we produce many one-off and prototype parts. Among the industries in which we specialize are aerospace, heavy equipment, energy production, naval vessels, tooling, and many others. Collaboration and creativity are important parts of our team, as well as a responsibility to ensure that the job is done correctly for the customer.


Responsibilities:

  • The ability to set up and operate Bridgeport style manual knee mills on one's own.
  • The ability to set up and operate a manual lathe independently.
  • Ability to use an overhead crane to rig parts.
  • A working knowledge of precision measuring tools is required.
  • Work independently on mills and lathes with 2 - 3 axis.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one to three years of experience is required.
  • Techniques for deburring.
  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Windows-based computers is required.
  • The ability to read blueprints and perform GD&T.
  • A basic understanding of shop mathematics is required.
