What your future day will look like:
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code, including writing, editing, and optimizing code for efficiency and accuracy.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T symbols, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for various materials and machining operations.
- Perform machine setups including zeroing, tool offsets, work offsets, and fixture alignment.
- Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust programs, and refine processes to improve part quality and reduce cycle time.
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet quality and dimensional standards.
- Monitor machine performance, identify wear or maintenance needs, and coordinate repairs or adjustments.

To be a champion in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years in a CNC machinist role
- Ability to run two machines at a time
- Experience with G&M-code
