We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for primarily 1st shift work from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with some flexibility, and open to considering 2nd shift if needed. The role involves mill machining of metal parts produced through 3D printing, mainly for military/defense and energy contracts, including gun suppressors, missiles, and explosives. The machinist will be expected to perform machine setups and hands-on machining of metal parts, focusing on minimizing downtime while maintaining production quality and efficiency. The position focuses on machining rather than just operating, utilizing a variety of equipment including 32 Haas units and 3 Mazaks.

Work Environment
Work in a 60,000 square foot facility that is very clean, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing. You will be part of a team of 5-7 machinists per shift, plus a supervisor and EDM machinist. The facility is equipped with 35 units, with plans to add 3 more shortly, providing an excellent environment for professional growth.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Freeville, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
