Job Description

This role focuses on high-volume rework and light assembly of small, single-use sensor products in a temperature-controlled production environment. You will replace literature and repackage items, assemble sensors using small hand tools, and accurately document work using a computer. The position involves repetitive tasks, requires strong attention to detail, and offers cross-training on an assembly line to support different production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-volume rework by removing literature from small boxes, replacing it with updated materials, and securely repackaging and taping the boxes.
  • Handle thousands of rework units efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Assemble single-use sensor products using small hand tools and follow defined production processes.
  • Work with very small parts and components, ensuring precise and careful handling.
  • Use computer systems to complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow written instructions, basic blueprints, or work orders as needed for assembly and packaging tasks.
  • Operate on an assembly line when cross-trained, supporting various stages of the production process.
  • Use basic measuring tools such as a tape measure when required for assembly or quality checks.
  • Package and rebox finished products according to established standards and procedures.
  • Follow safety guidelines when using hand tools and power tools in the work area.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall production area cleanliness.
  • Work collaboratively with team members at shared workstations and support team goals.
  • Adapt to changing daily assignments and be willing to perform different tasks as production needs shift.
  • Remain focused and consistent while performing repetitive sitting and standing tasks throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

  • Proven ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry in production systems.
  • Experience with assembly or production work, including handling small parts.
  • Ability to use small hand tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks.
  • Capability to read and follow basic instructions, and, when applicable, simple blueprints or work orders.
  • Strong flexibility and willingness to be cross-trained and move between different tasks or work areas as needed.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while performing repetitive work.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical tools in a production setting.
  • Experience in packaging, reboxing, or general labor in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Comfort working with very small parts and components that require fine motor skills.
  • Experience working on an assembly line or in a station-based production environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively at shared workstations.

This is a Contract position based out of Palm Springs, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
