Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will perform physical operations on a machining center, organize cell workflow, and plan necessary machining sequences for optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). You are expected to understand and meet all inspection requirements to ensure compliance with appropriate drawings and referenced specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies.
  • Monitor and measure product quality to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure all manufacturing and quality-related tools and materials are calibrated and of the latest revision.
  • Plan machining processes with a fluent understanding of assets and related equipment.
  • Review specifications, prints, drawings, and programs, and understand all Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
  • Set up machines with program downloading and editing fluency.
  • Control assets using 'Fanuc or Siemens' interface and navigate the control to improve operations.
  • Maintain the work cell and environment to premium standards.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in GD&T.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with lathe, grinder, mill, and general machine operation.
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment and machine operating.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to calibrate and ensure proper use and care of inspection and test equipment.
  • Maintain work area in compliance with good housekeeping practices and 6s principles.
  • Provide feedback for Continuous Improvement (C.I.) and compliance issues.
  • Perform and document Daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 6s operator interface checks.
  • Collect quality target data for reporting by CNC Machining Cell as defined.
  • Participate in company-promoted events such as 6s, TPM, and other operational C.I. programs.

Work Environment

This position is for the 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM. The Aurora facility fosters a tight-knit operation with long-tenured employees who take pride in their work. The company has been in business since 1962, providing a stable and supportive environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67537.60 - $67537.60/yr.
