Responsibilities
As a PRN CNA member of our Internal Resource Pool, you will be the heartbeat of support – helping teams deliver quality care every shift. You’ll have the flexibility to pick up shifts, between 200 and 900 hours per year (12 months from hire). Working under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining patient comfort, safety and efficient unit operations.
- Provides direct and indirect resident care under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN.
- Assists residents with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents.
- Assists with direct patient care, including vital signs, hygiene, mobility, feeding, intake/output, and other daily activities.
- Supports nurses and providers in patient monitoring, documentation, and coordination to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintains cleanliness and readiness of patient rooms, equipment, and supplies to promote a safe and organized environment.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect resident care under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN. Assists residents with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents.

Qualifications
- Education
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- Certified Nursing Assistant training to obtain certification required
Experience - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
Licenses and Certifications - CNA - Current State of California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
