Job Title: Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician
Job Description
The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician conducts field and laboratory testing of soils and concrete on active construction sites. This role involves traveling to job sites, collecting and testing material samples, and documenting results to support quality assurance for civil and structural projects. The technician works primarily in the field, handling materials and equipment, and plays a key role in ensuring that construction materials meet required standards.

Work Environment
The role is predominantly field-based, with most time spent outdoors on active construction sites and driving between the shop and job locations. During the first few months, the technician rides with an experienced team member to learn procedures, sites, and expectations. After training, the technician receives a company truck to drive independently to assigned job sites. Job sites are typically construction projects in the early stages of building, with rough terrain, active equipment, and changing weather conditions. Work involves regular handling of tools, testing equipment, and heavy materials such as concrete. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
