Cloud Systems Administrator (MSP) – Azure, Projects & Client Ownership

Hybrid | Growing Cloud-Focused MSP

Who We Are

We’re a rapidly growing Microsoft and Google Cloud partner helping businesses modernize and scale through cloud-first strategies. Our team works across diverse environments from traditional on-prem infrastructure to fully cloud-native deployments giving engineers exposure to a wide range of technologies and real-world challenges.

What sets us apart is how we approach our clients: not as tickets to close, but as long-term partners. We build trusted relationships, stay deeply involved in their environments, and continuously look for ways to improve performance, security, and scalability. Internally, we’ve built a collaborative, growth-focused culture where engineers are encouraged to expand their skill sets, take ownership, and play a direct role in shaping outcomes.

The Role

This is not a traditional help desk role, but you MUST HAVE MSP EXPERIENCE.

We’re looking for a Cloud Systems Administrator who operates above the typical support layer but someone who can handle escalations, take ownership of client environments, and contribute to project-based work that actually moves infrastructure forward.

You’ll be a key technical resource across multiple client environments, working in hybrid cloud ecosystems (Azure-heavy) and handling everything from advanced troubleshooting to proactive improvements and small-to-mid-sized project execution.

If you’re at that Tier 2 / Tier 2.5 level and want more exposure to projects, cloud, and client ownership, this is the role that gets you there.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as a primary technical contact for smaller client environments, building strong, trusted relationships
  • Handle advanced troubleshooting and escalations across systems, cloud, and networking
  • Proactively manage and improve client environments—not just react to issues
  • Work heavily within Azure environments, focusing on:
  • Security and compliance
  • Cost optimization
  • Performance improvements
  • Leverage tools like Intune for endpoint management, deployments, patching, and security
  • Support a mix of L2/L3 issues, primarily within Microsoft ecosystems
  • Lead small to mid-sized projects (M365 improvements, security upgrades, infrastructure enhancements)
  • Mentor junior engineers and help elevate the overall team

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support/engineering (MSP experience must have)
  • Strong Microsoft stack experience:
  • Azure
  • Microsoft 365
  • Intune
  • Comfortable handling escalations and complex troubleshooting independently
  • Experience working in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
  • Exposure to networking, servers, endpoints, and security
  • Someone who wants to grow into more project-based and cloud-focused work
  • Strong communication skills with both clients and internal teams

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Real exposure to Azure and cloud-focused environments (not just basic admin work)
  • Opportunity to own client relationships and environments, not just tickets
  • Strong mix of support + project work (not stuck in a queue all day)
  • Clear path into:
  • Systems Engineer
  • Cloud Engineer
  • Project Engineer roles
  • Collaborative team that actually invests in technical growth

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $90,000 – $110,000
  • Bonus opportunities
  • 401(k) + matching
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Paid time off + parental leave
  • Hybrid work environment
