Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Foundation Engineer to implement and maintain our multi-cloud foundation infrastructure. This role focuses on the technical implementation of landing zones, automation of cloud resources, and day-to-day engineering of cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native services across major cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities

Landing Zone Implementation

• Implement and maintain landing zone configurations across cloud providers using:
  • AWS Control Tower and Landing Zone Accelerator
• Design and implement resilient AWS architecturesthat ensure business continuity through automated backup, replication, and failover strategies across multi-region deployments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define RTO/RPO objectives, assess risk, and build scalable DR solutions aligned with compliance and operational requirements.
• Configure and maintain account/subscription provisioning automation
• Implement and maintain IAM policies, roles, and permissions
• Set up and manage cloud monitoring and logging solutions
• Configure and maintain network connectivity and security controls

Infrastructure Automation

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates using:
  • Terraform
  • AWS CloudFormation
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment
• Implement automated testing for infrastructure code
• Build self-service capabilities for resource provisioning
• Maintain version control and documentation for IAC

Security & Compliance

• Implement security controls and guardrails
• Configure and maintain cloud security services
• Set up compliance monitoring and reporting
• Implement automated remediation solutions
• Maintain security logging and alerting systems

Operational Support

• Monitor and maintain cloud foundation services
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues
• Perform routine maintenance and updates
• Support disaster recovery procedures
• Assist with cloud cost optimization efforts

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 12 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
• Minimum 6 plus years of experience in Cloud Engineering
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools
• Hands-on experience implementing landing zones
• Expertise in cloud networking and security
• Strong scripting and automation skills
• Hands-on implementation of cloud landing zones
• Infrastructure automation using IAC
• CI/CD pipeline development
• Cloud security implementation
• Network architecture implementation
• Production support experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Professional/associate certifications AWS cloud platform:
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional/Associate

Compensation & Benefits for Fulltime Hiring

Trianz compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay ranges between $120,000 to $130,000 USD. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
