Ingenium Talent, a leading search firm in Louisville KY, is looking for a Senior AWS Solutions Architect to support a public sector client in Harrisburg, PA. This role can be either a contract to hire, or full-time hire. Please note that this role is hybrid and will require being onsite at the client location in Harrisburg, PA at least three times per week. Candidates must be based within a 2-hour drive of Harrisburg to be considered.
All qualified candidates must possess current AWS Solutions Architecture certification.
Overview:
- This role functions as a strategic cloud advisor, focusing on architectural governance, platform maturity, and adoption enablement rather than hands-on implementation.
- You will provide ongoing architectural guidance, governance, and optimization following cloud deployments, ensuring solutions align with AWS best practices, operational maturity goals, and regulatory requirements.
- Partnering with customer engineering teams, AWS account teams, and our client's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), you will drive platform maturity, support modernization efforts, and enhance operational readiness.
- This is a strategic advisory role focused on architectural validation and helping organizations extend and operationalize their AWS environments after major transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary cloud architecture advisor for assigned customer environments.
- Validate evolving architectures against the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Identify architectural drift and recommend remediation strategies.
- Develop and maintain current-state and target-state architecture diagrams.
- Support architecture governance processes and design decision documentation.
- Coordinate with: AWS account teams, AWS TAMs, strategic delivery leadership, customer engineering leadership
- Provide monthly and quarterly architecture reviews and reporting.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years cloud architecture experience
- 5+ years designing and deploying AWS architectures
- Experience supporting regulated or public-sector cloud environments (e.g., FedRAMP, CJIS, HIPAA, NIST frameworks, or GovCloud)
- Proven experience in AWS networking architecture, Identity and access management, multi-account governance, Infrastructure-as-code automation, and Cloud security architecture
- Current AWS Solutions Architecture certification, preferably at a Professional level
- Expertise in core AWS Services including: VPC networking architecture, IAM and security architecture, EC2 / EKS / ECS, S3 / storage architectures and CloudWatch / observability
