Clinical Research Nurse
Must Haves: RN License, preferably 1+ year in Clinical Research Oncology Phase 1 trials
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm onsite
Contract Duration: 6 month contract then hired on permanently with the company once all hours have been met.
Pay: 37-51/hr depending on experience

Job Summary
This role reports to the Clinical Trials Office (CTO) Manager and works closely with study teams to ensure all research activities comply with Federal regulations, hospital policies, and sponsor requirements. Key responsibilities include coordinating team activities to ensure studies are executed according to protocol and applicable guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care for clinical trial participants, including the direct provision of nursing-related care as outlined in study protocols.
- Study Coordination: Manages team activities to ensure studies follow protocols, SOPs, and regulations while staying within budget.
- Technical Procedures: Responsible for the collection of blood samples (including PK samples), cultures, tissues, and other specimens.
- Participant Management: Interacts with patients and families to recruit subjects and monitors for Adverse Events.
- Training: Provides protocol-specific training to research teams and hospital staff; monitors the need for staff training programs to maintain license and certification currency.
- Data & Regulatory: Collects, compiles, and analyzes clinical research data; assists with the design of protocols and forms for local Investigator-Initiated studies.
- Logistics & Risk: Plans logistical activity for procedures, identifies potential study risks, and implements mitigation actions.
- Collaboration: Communicates with sponsors regarding study monitor visits and provides feasibility input on new protocols to leadership.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Healthcare Experience: 2–4 years of professional research or healthcare experience.
- Research Experience: 1–3 years specifically in Phase 1 clinical research.
Required Licenses & Certifications
- RN Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida or Multi-State eNLC.
- Life Support: American Heart Association BLS (at hire), ACLS (within 3 months), and PALS (within 6 months).
- Other: IATA certification required within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree: ARNP highly preferred.
- Certification: Clinical research certification (CCRC, CCRP, or CRA).
- Specialty: Pediatric nursing in an acute care setting; experience in neurology, neurosurgery, or oncology.
- Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish), proficiency in REDCap or database management tools, and in-depth knowledge of Phase I trial design.
