Roles & Responsibilities:

The Clinical Manager is a licensed clinician, with responsibility of oversight of activities in the assigned department. This includes policy and program development, program accreditation, financial issues, staff training, hiring/interviewing new staff, and many direct patient care/clinical duties including patient assessments, testing, patient education, managing patient emergencies, and working with patients during actual rehabilitation sessions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees clinical, administrative and, as appropriate, program development in assigned area.

  2. Program development, engaging other members of the clinical and administrative team.

  3. Program accreditation/certification and updating program based on current rules/regulations

  4. Handle financial/insurance issues and solving problems associated with these issues.

  5. Periodic review and update of policies and procedures.

  6. Staff training/education

  7. Clinical duties, which may include patient assessments, testing, and overall health management.

  8. Handles patient issues related to patient experience, billing and insurance issues.

  9. use EPIC for documentation and IDX for scheduling and billing

  10. Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Education:

BS in a health related profession, i.e. Nursing, Physiology, Speech Pathology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, etc, (Masters preferred), with current licensure.

MS Exercise Physiology preferred if the position is utilized in this clinical area. Nursing or Physician Assistant preferred.

Experience:

3+ years (higher preferred) years of clinical exercise experience with two years of management and supervisory experience preferred.

BLS, ACLS, and ACSM certified clinical exercise specialist preferred.

IDX trained and certified super-user in EPIC preferred

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $95,450.00 - $143,175.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
