About the Role

Pride Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join the Pathology Department at a major healthcare facility in Jamaica, NY. This role primarily supports Hematology, ensuring accurate testing, timely reporting, and compliance with laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and validate hematology laboratory tests following established protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure quality control accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze specimens, documenting all results precisely.
• Adhere to laboratory safety and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and lab teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with training as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree from an accredited Laboratory Technology program (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Licensure: Valid NYSED Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (092) required.
• Preferred: BLS Certification; Hematology experience strongly preferred.
• Availability: Evening and night shifts preferred; open to all shifts.
