Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cardiac Catheterization Tech based in Mount Vernon, WA. The Cardiac Catheterization Tech supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures as well as interventional radiology and electrophysiology by preparing the procedure room, calibrating and operating imaging and monitoring equipment, and ensuring all supplies and devices are available and properly maintained. Responsibilities include assisting cardiologists and the care team during cardiac, interventional radiology and electrophysiology procedures by positioning and preparing patients, scrubbing and maintaining a sterile table, monitoring patient status, and documenting procedure details in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards. This role follows radiation safety protocols, maintains sterile technique, and adheres to infection prevention practices throughout all procedures. Additional duties include participating in on-call rotations, assisting with quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with nursing, cardiology, and radiology teams to support efficient, safe, and patient-focused care.


Qualifications:

  • Clinical and technical expertise in cardiac catheterization, including operating fluoroscopy and monitoring equipment, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures, and adhering to radiation safety and sterile technique.
  • Strong patient care skills, including safe patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, responding to changes in condition, and providing clear communication and reassurance to patients and families.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, communicating clearly with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians, and supporting a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and digital imaging systems, including accurate, timely documentation of procedures, findings, and charges.
  • Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field (or equivalent clinical experience).
  • Current ARRT or RCIS or RCES and applicable Washington State licensure/certification (CIS), as required for scope of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtained within a defined timeframe after hire
