Summary:
Manages the intake of grievances that come in through multiple formats (email, phone call, letters, inperson visits, and online reviews). Facilitates grievance and allegations of abuse investigations throught the organization. Provides leadership, education, and mentoring to clinical stakeholders. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve grievances and communicate outcome of the reviews with families.

Responsibilities:
* Coordinates and facilitates the investigation, review and disposition of grievances though interviews, medical record and literature reviews and utilization of appropriate investigative tools.
* Utilizes high level organizational skills to manage case load.
* Serves as an expert in safety science and patient safety processes and outcomes to assist clinical and organizational stakeholders with information to improve patient safety.
* Works, in partnership, with clinical stakeholders; aggregates and analyzes data; identifies opportunities to improve patient safety and patient experience; identifies trends and patterns related to grievances; develops conclusions and makes recommendations through data and case presentations to appropriate committees and/or teams.
* Conducts special projects / audits as assigned.
* Collaborates with Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance to support necessary processes and documentation of event reviews. Services as a super user of various software systems such as, Excel, Power Point, Word, EPIC; able to design and develop necessary patient safety reports.

How You’ll Be Successful:

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 5 years' experience in a healthcare or clinical environment and an advanced degree Required
* At least 7 years Experience in a healthcare or clinical environment Required

EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience BSN Required
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* CPPS or CPXP 1 Year Required
* Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas Upon Hire Required
