Peabody Health Philanthropies (PHP) is a nonprofit (501c3) foundation dedicated to improving healthcare quality worldwide by reducing unwarranted variation in care. PHP develops and deploys the EQIS platform, an AI-enabled simulated patient and clinical quality improvement tool. We partner with ministries of health, academic institutions, and global health organizations to measure clinical decision-making and support sustainable and scalable training and improvement health care initiatives.
To support growth in program delivery and clinical content development, PHP is seeking an experienced clinically trained (PharmD, RNNP, RN, PA) with strong communication and leadership skills to serve as our Clinical Content Lead.
Title: Clinical Content Lead
Status: Full-Time
Location: Hybrid (San Francisco Bay Area) with two days/week in the PHP office
San Francisco Bay Area (commute to SF 2 days/week)
Reports to: Content & Operations Manager (with close collaboration with executive leadership and international project teams)
Preferred Qualifications: Vietnamese language proficiency
Role
This role is a clinical and operational leadership position focused on the development, and I implementation of simulated patient cases in the EQIS platform in international settings. The Clinical Content Lead will (1) write, teach and review the writing of simulated patient cases using PHP’s platform, (2) ensure clinical accuracy and alignment with national and international best practices across country specific clinical content, and (3) support the seamless execution of PHP programs by partnering with the Content & Operations Manager on planning, coordination, and quality control.
This role is ideal for a clinically trained professional who is equally comfortable operating in a business or philanthropic environment including owning deliverables, leading cross-functional work, and improving systems and processes at PHP.
Responsibilities
Simulated Case Development & Instruction (Core – Clinical + Teaching)
· Oversee the writing of simulated patient cases and case matrices using the EQIS platform, including clear learning objectives and high-quality clinical logic.
· Teach physicians and case writers on PHP’s case-writing standards, structure, and workflow (including workshops, office hours, and written feedback cycles).
· Develop and maintain internal case-writing guidelines, templates, and quality rubrics to ensure consistent case development across teams and countries consistent with local clinical priorities. Clinical Quality Assurance & Guideline Alignment (Core – Clinical Oversight)
· Ensure clinical accuracy, internal consistency, and guideline alignment of simulated cases and related clinical content.
· Research and synthesize national and international clinical guidelines; document the basis for clinical decisions reflected in cases (as appropriate for PHP’s use).
· Review clinical content written by physicians and other subject matter experts, providing edits and structured feedback for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to best practices.
· Identify areas of clinical risk (e.g., medication safety, dosing logic, contraindications, standard-of-care mismatches) in cases.
Program Support & Operational Execution (Core – Program Delivery)
· Support the Content & Operations Manager and Founder in ensuring PHP programs run smoothly, including planning timelines, tracking deliverables, and coordinating among internal staff and external clinical contributors.
· Participate in program check-ins and help translate project objectives into actionable content plans and weekly priorities.
· International travel.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration (Core – Ownership + Communication)
· Demonstrate strong project ownership: set clear goals, drive work forward, surface risks early, and communicate progress reliably.
· Collaborate with leadership to support scaling: building repeatable processes, training additional reviewers, and improving content throughput without sacrificing quality.
· Represent PHP professionally with partners as needed, including participation in meetings where clinical content, training, or program plans are discussed.
· As a core member of PHPs international team, ensure that PHP projects are locally sustainable in the long term.
Qualifications
Required
· Clinical credential as Pharmacist (PharmD/RPh), Nurse Practitioner (NP), RN or Physician Assistant (PA).
· Professional clinical experience with strong comfort in medical treatment, medications and clinical decision-making.
· Demonstrated ability to research and interpret clinical guidelines and apply them to written clinical content.
· Strong writing, editing, and instructional ability (comfortable giving direct, clear feedback to clinicians and writers).
· Comfort working in a fast-paced, small organization environment with multiple priorities and limited bureaucracy.
· High reliability, strong attention to detail, and excellent judgment in clinical quality control.
Preferred
· Experience in global health, philanthropy, or mission-driven organizations.
· Vietnamese language proficiency (spoken and/or written).
· Experience teaching, training, or mentoring clinicians (formal or informal).
· Experience building or improving processes (QA workflows, templates, operational systems).
Obligations
· Hybrid work cadence with the expectation of in office work two days per week.
· Participate in recurring PHP weekly meetings and planning rhythms with international teams in various time zones (including a weekly staff meeting and role-specific meetings).
· Maintain dependable communication, clear documentation of work, and proactive escalation of risks to timelines or quality.

Compensation
$125,000-$150,000 (based on experience), plus bonus eligibility + medical benefits
