The Veterinary Research & Oncology Clinic (VROC) at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking Clinical/Assistant Veterinarians to join its growing clinical team. VROC is an outpatient practice dedicated to the care of pet dogs and cats with cancer. The assistant veterinarian will be responsible for clinical care, treatment delivery, and collaborative oncology practice within a leading academic medical center. Candidates must hold a DVM (or equivalent) and license to work in Texas.
Day-to-day responsibilities include the diagnosis, treatment, and longitudinal management of canine and feline patients. Clinicians will partner closely with specialists across oncology, imaging, and related disciplines to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care using advanced therapeutic modalities.
VROC provides access to state-of-the-art treatment technologies, including advanced radiation therapy platforms, image-guided interventions, and novel systemic therapies. Clinicians will manage a diverse and complex caseload, with opportunities to implement innovative treatment protocols and contribute to evolving standards of care.
Embedded within the Department of Radiation Oncology, VROC offers a highly collaborative environment with veterinarians, physician-scientists and translational researchers. While the primary focus is clinical service, there are optional opportunities to engage in clinical trials, translational research, and emerging therapeutic development, including areas such as novel drug therapies, advanced imaging, artificial intelligence applications, and precision oncology.
