Clinical Assistant - LPN/CMA - Henderson, Stovall, Norlina, Twin County, Lake Gaston (Float)

Rural Health Group, a multi-location Community Health Center in northeastern North Carolina, is seeking a CMA or LPN for full time position that willfloat between our outpatient primary care clinics located on the "west side" of our service area. The clinics in this region include:
  • Lake Gaston (Littleton)
  • Norlina
  • Twin County (Hollister)
  • Henderson
  • Stovall
Candidates must hold a current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)license issued by the state of North Carolina, OR must possess Medical Assistant (MA) Certification/Registration with documented hands-on clinical training.
The starting rates for this position are as follows:
CMA - $19/hr | LPN - $23/hr

The following clinical skills/experience are preferred:
  • Phlebotomy
  • Equipment usage (EKG, clinitek, Hemoglobin)
  • Good documentation skills
  • Tracking and maintaining medical data
  • Immunization (adult and pediatric)
  • Injections
  • IV therapy
  • Strong understanding of disease management for providing patient education at the direction of provider

REQUIREMENTS
  • Outpatient physician office experience strongly preferred
  • Active North Carolina LPNLicense or MA Certification strongly preferred
  • Expanded nurse role experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, telephone and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a potentially stressful environment
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Pleasant, professional approach; must be able to work well with the public and provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective, professional relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and superiors
  • Possess knowledge of modern office equipment andMicrosoft Office software programs
  • Basic computer skills; must be able to quickly learn to use eClinicalWorks electronic healthrecord system
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required; applicants who may serve in a translating capacity will be required to take a language assessment
