River Hospital is excited to announce a new position and we currently accepting applications for the dual role of Clinic Coordinator & Registration Clerk to support our expanding outpatient services.
Job Purpose To provide support and assist with healthcare navigation for the patients of River Community Clinic.
Duties and responsibilities
Schedule patient appointments
Insurance verification
Coordinate care for patients with other facilities
Coordinate transportation for patients
Assist with obtaining resources for areas identified on screening questionnaires
Assist with obtaining medication as needed
Track and report utilization data as needed
Attendance at planning and advisory meetings, as needed
Staffing coverage at the clinic, as needed
Coordination with finance, nurses, and social worker resources as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, required
Three years prior experience in a Hospital/Physician Office, required
Experience in a related position, preferred
PC and keyboard skills. required
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to independently solve problems and respond to patient needs
Ability to work with diverse groups including; physicians, nurses, therapists, patients, and families.
