You will be the welcoming face of the park, guiding visitors, supporting staff, and keeping operations on track. From phones to permits to radio calls, you will keep communication clear and timely. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Visitor Reception: Greet, screen, and direct visitors while on duty at the Parker Dam State Park Complex
- Call Handling: Answer and transfer telephone calls and provide routine information about the park and local attractions
- Fees And Permits: Process fees, issue permits and receipts, and check in and register campers using the Park Reservation System
- Revenue Reporting: Create reports for staff & volunteers, reconcile daily revenues, prepare deposit slips, and electronically transmit revenue
- Communications And Safety: Operate radio based communications, relay messages, and respond to emergencies as outlined in the Emergency Action Plan
- Office Support: Compose correspondence, maintain files and records, and coordinate supplies and merchandise for the park office

- Full-time, seasonal employment with no healthcare benefits
- The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay
- The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday - Tuesday
- 30-minute lunch from 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM
- Working weekends and holidays required
- There is not an option to buy into health care benefits
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the hourly wage of $18.46 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
