In this position, you will support the Pottsville District Mining Office by providing essential clerical and receptionist services that keep the office operating efficiently. As a temporary Clerical Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Reception Support:Answer incoming calls, welcome visitors, and guide individuals to the appropriate staff or agency
  • Visitor Management:Ensure visitors sign in and out and receive correct information or direction
  • Clerical Processing:Complete typing tasks for correspondence, memos, reports, and permits while checking all work for accuracy
  • Mail Handling:Sort, stamp, and distribute incoming mail and log legislative correspondence
  • Payment Processing:Provide water test kits, collect required payments, and record all check and money order transactions
  • Record Digitization:Prepare documents for scanning and upload digitized files into OnBase and SharePoint folders

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Limited-term full-time employment (6 months)
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
