Job Title: Cleanroom Technician
Job Description

Join a new, long-term energy storage manufacturing program as a Cleanroom Technician, supporting the production of advanced battery storage units in a modern, temperature-controlled facility. You will complete initial training on first shift before moving to your scheduled shift, and you will work across multiple stations on the battery line to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and support overall manufacturing processes at various stations throughout the battery production line.
  • Perform quality checks on parts to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Pack and prepare finished parts and battery packs for shipment according to established procedures.
  • Assemble and sub-assemble battery packs using provided tools, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the assigned work cell and contribute to the cleanliness of the facility as a whole.
  • Learn and rotate through multiple stations within the manufacturing process as needed.
  • Assist with tasks such as breaking down boxes, moving materials, and helping load the line when required.
  • Remain attentive and engaged throughout orientation and all scheduled shifts, following instructions accurately.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of materials.
  • Avoid use of cell phones on the production floor and keep them stored in lockers during the shift.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain focus for the entire duration of orientation and each scheduled shift.
  • Ability to learn and perform tasks at multiple stations throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to stand on your feet and stay active for the entire shift, up to 8–12 hours as needed.
  • Ability to remain comfortable and flexible performing assigned tasks, including both stationary and more mobile duties such as breaking down boxes, moving materials, or assisting with loading the line.
  • Ability to stay engaged, attentive, and productive throughout the shift.
  • Ability to quickly understand tasks, production goals, and quality expectations.
  • Ability to lift or move 15–20 pounds at a time.
  • Willingness to keep cell phones stored in lockers and not use them during working time.
  • Receptiveness to direction and feedback, with the ability to apply guidance to improve performance.

  • Interest in production, assembly, or general labor work within a manufacturing environment.
  • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven setting with defined quality and production targets.
  • Willingness to be cross-trained on different roles and responsibilities across the battery line.

Work Environment

This role is based in a $62 million, brand-new facility in Auburn Hills that is temperature controlled, very clean, and equipped with new machinery and equipment throughout the warehouse and production areas. The environment is structured and safety-focused, with all team members required to wear lab coats, boots, and safety glasses as personal protective equipment. All new hires participate in orientation on first shift during their first week before transitioning to their assigned shift. Current openings are available across first, second, and third shifts, with first shift running from 5:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. The production area operates as a cleanroom-style setting where organization, cleanliness, and adherence to procedures are critical. The work involves standing and staying active for the full shift, handling materials, and working closely with a team in a modern, well-maintained facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
