Position: Claims Analyst (Level I)
Location: San Diego, CA 92123
Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 2‑Year Contract (Extension or Permanent Hire Based on Performance & Experience)
🔍 About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Claims Analyst (Level I) to support claims investigation, recovery efforts, and general liability claim handling. This role requires hands‑on experience with general liability, bodily injury, motor vehicle accidents, and/or subrogation claims.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing claims from setup through resolution while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and pursue recovery against third parties that damage company facilities, property, or equipment
- Support general liability claims by investigating incidents and determining insurance liability related to:
- Bodily injury
- Casualty losses
- Property damage
- Loss of business
- Work toward fair and timely settlements with claimants when applicable
- Oversee claims processing and payments to third‑party providers
- Review charges and validate accuracy and compliance of claim payments
- Prepare and send claim denial letters and follow‑up requests for additional documentation
- Set up new claims and review payment reports to ensure correctness and policy adherence
🎯 Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in:
- General liability claims
- Bodily injury claims
- Motor vehicle accident (auto) claims
- Subrogation insurance work
- Strong knowledge of claims investigation and payment review processes
- Experience working with insurance carriers and third‑party providers
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
