Civil Litigation Attorney

A growing regional law firm in Columbus is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its busy and expanding civil litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility and develop their advocacy skills across a broad range of matters.

About the Role

You will handle a diverse caseload including general liability, business disputes, and contract-related litigation. The role offers strong hands-on experience, with the ability to manage files independently while working closely with experienced partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cases through all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through resolution
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery
• Conduct depositions and attend hearings
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Assist with trial preparation

Candidate Profile

• 3–7 years of civil litigation experience
• Experience with depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently
• Ohio Bar admission required
