POSITION OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (PE) Project Manager to join our growing team in
Fairhope, Alabama. This role offers the opportunity to lead civil development projects
from initial concept and design through construction and final project closeout. In addition

As a key member of our engineering team, you will take a hands-on role in project design,
permitting, municipal approvals, construction administration, and client relationship
management. Depending on your experience and career goals, this position also provides
a pathway into broader leadership responsibilities, including opportunities to help grow
and eventually lead portions of the engineering department.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer who combines strong technical
expertise with practical project management skills. Success in this role requires the ability
to effectively collaborate with clients, municipalities, planning commissions, and internal
team members, while embracing a culture of teamwork, peer review, and continuous
improvement.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Manage civil engineering projects from concept through final construction
closeout
● Design residential subdivision developments and commercial site plans
● Prepare engineering calculations, grading plans, drainage designs, utility plans,
and permitting documentation
● Utilize Civil 3D to perform project design and drafting work directly
● Coordinate utility approvals and municipal permitting requirements
● Attend and represent projects before planning commissions and municipal
review boards
● Work with clients, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
throughout project lifecycles
● Conduct internal project coordination with survey, planning, and inspection
teams
● Review contractor pay applications during active construction
● Monitor project progress and address engineering-related construction issues
● Complete project closeout requirements, including as-built documentation and
post-construction verification activities
● Participate in weekly project review meetings and team coordination sessions
● Support quality control processes through internal peer reviews
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
● A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
● Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE)
● High proficiency with Civil 3D software-
● A strong desire to join a small consulting engineering firm focused on personal and

● Civil engineering experience ranging from newly licensed PE through senior-level
project manager considered
● Ability and willingness to perform hands-on design work rather than strictly
management responsibilities
● Experience designing residential subdivision developments and/or commercial site
developments preferred
● Strong understanding of drainage design, utility coordination, grading, and site
development engineering
● Experience navigating municipal permitting and approval processes preferred
● Ability to present projects to planning commissions and public agencies
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Demonstrated ability to accept feedback and participate in collaborative peer review
processes
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
