The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Chief Administrative Officer Justin P. Forkner, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.
Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $60,000 but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About the Job: This position serves as a coordinator for the Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana (CISC), a three-branch statewide Commission that studies issues concerning vulnerable youth, reviews and makes recommendations concerning legislation, and promotes information sharing and best practices. The CISC’s vision is that every child in Indiana will have a safe and nurturing environment, be afforded opportunities to reach their full potential, and live a healthy and productive life.
A Day in the Life: This position provides support to the CISC through a broad variety of programmatic and administrative functions that assist in the execution of the CISC strategic plan.
- Provide ongoing support and ensure applicable reimbursement for all CISC members, as well as committee, subcommittee and task force members.
- Coordinate the CISC youth, family and caregiver community member recruitment, application, interview, and onboarding processes as assigned.
- Coordinate the CISC professional member recruitment and onboarding processes as assigned.
- Identify local (county- or city-based) collaboratives around the state focused on children and youth with whom the Commission could establish relationships.
- Provide staff support for assigned meetings, committees, subcommittees, and task forces of the CISC, including coordinating audio-visual needs, recording, and distributing minutes, preparing post meeting dispatches, and providing updates to the Executive Director.
- Assist with tracking state and federal legislation related to the status of children in Indiana.
- Remain up to date on policies and research related to the status of children in Indiana.
- Maintain assigned portions of CISC website content in a timely manner and provide continuous monitoring for the accuracy of posted information.
- Assist in planning and scheduling regular and special events and overseeing logistics of those events including audio-visual needs, catering, registration, and communications.
- Provide support in collecting information in preparation of CISC Annual Reports.
- Forecasts new tasks and objectives conducive to meeting the mission and vision of the CISC.
- Openly communicates with the Executive Director, makes regular use of supervision, and is proactive when seeking support
- Performs all other duties necessary and requested to meet the mission and vision of the CISC.
