ESSENTIAL

DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Children’s Ministries team to vision and plan new ways to grow Children’s Ministries to strengthen our Faith Community in worship, group life and service
  • Sunday School Curriculum & Volunteers
  • Overall leadership of Sunday AM Programming
  • Volunteer Recruitment, Training and Schedule for Sunday AM
  • Coordinate Children’s Ministries team budget creation and management
  • Lead church policies/procedures compliance
  • Provide clear, effective, and timely communication to volunteers and families
  • Lead events & programming – aiming for a quarterly event (including VBS & other Bible events)
  • Partner with Outreach team to build a volunteer infrastructure for Stepping Forward weekly events related to children
  • Coordinate Upward basketball Volunteers for game days, and practice nights (as our church has capacity)
  • Ensure Safe Sanctuary policies are followed by staff and volunteers
  • Active member of the Core team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred or proven experience in Children’s Ministry
  • Track record of successful and effective interpersonal relationships required
  • Demonstrated excellence in leading others required
  • Excellent team-based leadership abilities
  • Exceptional management skills, including the ability to set and maintain boundaries
  • Able to train or to organize training for volunteers and staff to participate in ministry.
  • Outstanding work ethic; self-starter
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Passionate and relevant teacher who effectively communicates spiritual concepts to children
  • Professional behavior and communication in a team-based staff environment
  • Great relational skills with both children and adults
  • Humble spirit that continually desires to learn and improve
  • Proficient computer skills
