Job Summary:

Performs administrator duties for California Children's Services (CCS). Performs deputy director duties for the Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) program. Provides program and operation leadership, supervision and management to ensure efficient service delivery. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Five years' relevant experience: Preferred
  • Two years' public health services programming coordination experience: Preferred

Department Specific License/Certifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT): Required
  • AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, organizes and administers the Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) program.
  • Directs and administers programs that represent the full range of services within this delivery system, including provider development and maintenance, coordination with agencies and programs, program monitoring, planning and evaluation, assessments and other related case management services necessary to maintain efficient and effective public health service delivery.
  • Serves on the departmental management team to assess community needs and develop the strategies, partnerships and resources necessary to meet the broader community health needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
