Metropolitan Human Services District (MHSD) is one of ten Local Governing Entities (LGE) serving persons with Mental Health Disorders, Addictive Disorders and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in Louisiana. Legislated by the State and through its Board of Directors, MHSD is responsible for the operation and management of community-based programs and services for the parishes of Orleans, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines.
We are currently recruiting for a Child and Youth DirectorThe Child and Youth Director is a key member of the Metropolitan Human Services District's Leadership Team. An ideal candidate should possess strong clinical expertise, demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams, the ability to develop and implement evidence-based practices, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to advancing the well-being of children and youth through innovative and effective programming. This role involves overseeing and implementing mental health, substance use disorders, and co-occurring programming for children and youth within the district. The Child and Youth Director supervises non- prescribing licensed clinical professionals, focusing on skill development and training. Additionally, this position supports the Director of Adult Services in managing clinic services and is responsible for negotiating and monitoring various contracts, including the Graduate Medical Education Programs and other community- based service providers serving children.

Minimum Qualifications:A Doctorate Degree - Psychology preferred
Supervisory experience
Billable clinical services experience
Experience providing direct treatment services (assessment/psychotherapy)
