Abrazo Arrowhead Campus is a 217-bed acute care facility. Key service lines include Cardiovascular, including Structural Heart, Vascular, and Open Heart procedures, Da Vinci Robotic Surgery (a mature, growing program with three XI robots), Women’s and Infants program, including a Level 3A NICU, Digestive Health, Men’s Health and advanced urological procedures and technology, Orthopedics, including total joints, Spine Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Services, Heart Care, Oncology, Rehabilitation Services, Stroke and Vascular Care, Surgical Services, and Wound Care and Hyperbarics.
In October 2020, Abrazo opened the Abrazo Surprise Hospital under Arrowhead’s license. This microhospital serves a vital healthcare need in the Arrowhead / Surprise communities, and is a full-service acute care hospital with an Emergency Department, Inpatient telemetry beds, Surgical Services, Pharmacy, and Laboratory. Arrowhead also operates a free-standing Emergency Department in North Peoria.

Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, a satellite facility of Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, has approximately 300 physicians dedicated to your heart care in a smaller (59-bed) hospital setting that is both attentive and experienced. When it opened in 1998, Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital was the first hospital in the United States dedicated to heart disease, and it quickly became one of the world’s leading cardiac care centers. We could have expanded into other service lines, but we chose instead to commit ourselves to excellence in heart care. As in 1998, we focus on the heart, and you will feel that experience when you walk in our doors. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Strategy Officer will be responsible for oversight of the business and strategic planning and marketing integrity of Abrazo Arrowhead Campus & Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital. He/she will have responsibility for advancing the Hospitals’ short- and long-term business growth plans and the development and implementation of hospital business strategy and market position. Serving as chief strategy spokesperson for Abrazo Arrowhead Campus & Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, the Chief Strategy officer oversees the strategic and business planning functions for the facilities.
Key responsibilities include the following:
Leads in development and implementation of facility business strategy
Aids in Service Line Development
Effectively manages the Provider Outreach Program and works to meet community need through recruitment of physicians
Analyzes data to make fact-based decisions and monitors variances to understand facility trends
Leads an effective consumer engagement plan and partners to ensure improvement in consumer experience

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of five years of experience in Strategic Planning and Healthcare Strategy/Development is required. Experience developing complex business plans and using data to drive strategy is a must.
