Supermomos is hiring for the role of Chief of Staff & Deputy General Manager, San Francisco to support and grow our San Francisco flagship. This is an early-career, high-ownership, and revenue-focused role with sales and partner ownership.
You’ll work closely with the SF GM and senior operators to support sponsor-funded programs, own partner outreach and follow-ups, and help ensure our SF community runs smoothly while scaling sustainably. This role involves real responsibility early on — including driving partner conversations to clear yes/no outcomes.
If you’re not excited by outreach, follow-ups, and closing conversations, this role is likely not a fit.
We’re deeply embedded in the tech & VC ecosystem and are happy to coach — but we’re looking for someone who is hungry, proactive, and willing to do the unglamorous work well.
What you'll do:
Programs & Partnerships (Revenue Ownership)
- Own sponsor and partner conversations, renewals, and follow-ups
- Actively support deal progression by helping build partnership materials and proposals
- Track partner engagement, identify opportunities to deepen partnerships
- Maintain a simple pipeline view of active partner conversations and next actions
Community & Ecosystem
- Attend SF tech and VC events and represent Supermomos externally
- Build relationships with founders, investors, and community builders
- Engage members, gather feedback, and support light user research
Operations & Execution
- Support end-to-end execution of events and programs, ensuring partner expectations are met
- Assist with setup, registration, hosting, and on-the-ground logistics
- Help ensure a high-quality experience for partners and attendees
Background:
- 1–3 years of experience in SDR, B2B sales, partnerships, growth, or revenue operations
- Experience engaging founders, operators, or venture-backed startups
- Strong understanding of startup ecosystems and B2B sales cycles
- Highly detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
Traits:
- Great attitude and initiative, good work ethic and communication skills
- Passionate about building communities, consumer / tech, and learning
- Comfort with ambiguity, change, and fast pace
- Loves attending events and meeting new people
The "Animal" Test
We look for people who are animals.
Paul Graham describes an animal as someone who takes their work a little too seriously — someone who passes from professional into obsessive.
What it means specifically depends on the job:
- a salesperson who just won't take no for an answer
- a hacker who will stay up till 4:00 AM rather than go to bed leaving code with a bug in it
- a PR person who will cold-call New York Times reporters on their cell phones
- a graphic designer who feels physical pain when something is two millimeters out of place
If that resonates, you’ll likely do well here :)
To be considered, you will need to complete a short 10–15 min task before the first interview (details will be sent after application).
