Chief Medical Officer

MavenHealth Solutions
Los Angeles, CA

We’re partnered with a well-established FQHC in Los Angeles that has built something rare. A financially stable, multi-service organization where leaders stay, physicians remain long term, and culture is felt day to day.

With five sites and 115 employees, the organization offers a broad scope of services including Primary Care, Women’s Health, Dentistry, Optometry, and integrative care. A new on-site pharmacy is opening soon, and UCLA specialists support monthly clinics in Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Neurology.

More importantly, this is an organization where leadership is stable, aligned, and collaborative.

C-suite leaders have worked together for over a decade, physicians tend to stay long term, and culture is rooted in mutual respect and accountability.

Why this role stands out

This is a planned transition, not a backfill due to turnover. The current CMO, a long-tenured and nationally recognized physician leader, is stepping into a different role and will remain a partner to the incoming CMO.

The organization is eager for someone who enjoys building structure, aligning teams, and driving performance in a supportive way. You'll have clear support from an engaged leadership team, a voice at the table, autonomy to set expectations and drive quality, and a culture that is receptive to structure.

This is a culture people don’t leave. Executive leaders have been in place for over a decade, managers for even longer, and physicians typically stay five or more years. The leadership team is collaborative, hands-on, and deeply respectful of staff. That shows up in both daily interactions and intentional efforts to recognize and support employees.

The role

This is a 60 percent administrative and 40 percent clinical position with flexibility in how clinical time is structured.

You will:

  • Lead and support physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
  • Build strong relationships through consistent 1:1 engagement
  • Align providers with organizational goals and expectations
  • Improve productivity, accountability, and performance metrics

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being present with their teams and influencing day-to-day operations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • 30 days PTO plus 11 paid holidays
  • CME support with dedicated time off
  • Malpractice coverage and license reimbursement
  • 403(b) retirement plan
  • Compensation between $300,000 and $360,000 per year

Who thrives here

A leader who values culture, enjoys working closely with providers, and sees opportunity in growth and optimization. Someone who wants to build, not maintain.

If you’re looking for a role where your impact will be visible and lasting, this is a conversation worth having.
