About Us: Community Counseling of Bristol County (CCBC) is a mission-driven Community Mental Health Center providing outpatient, crisis, and community-based behavioral health services in southeastern Massachusetts.
The Role: The CFO is a key member of the executive team, responsible for financial leadership, operational oversight, and long-term sustainability. This role oversees finance, payroll, insurance, audits, IT systems, and credentialing in a complex, multi-service healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and Board reporting
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Direct payroll operations in compliance with Massachusetts wage laws
- Manage insurance programs (liability, cyber, workers’ comp) and risk strategy
- Lead audits, Form 990, and regulatory compliance (including MassHealth)
- Oversee revenue cycle: billing, collections, and reimbursement optimization
- Provide oversight of EHR, financial systems, and data security (HIPAA compliant)
- Ensure efficient provider credentialing and payer enrollment
- Supervise finance and administrative staff; collaborate across departments
Qualifications:Required:- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 7 – 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience
- Nonprofit experience; healthcare/behavioral health strongly preferred
Preferred:- CPA or MBA
- Experience with Medicaid (MassHealth) and behavioral health funding
- Familiarity with Community Mental Health Center system of care
