Chief Financial Officer

Chesapeake Search Partners is seeking a hands-on CFO for an esteemed bank within the Greater Baltimore region. In this important leadership role, this individual will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting long-term growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to shape and execute the Bank’s long-term financial strategy
• Provide insight into growth initiatives, lending strategies, deposit expansion, and community investment opportunities
• Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic analysis to the Board
• Serve as primary financial liaison to regulators and external auditors
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Drive operational efficiency and expense management initiatives
• Develop and mentor internal teams
• Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and community stewardship

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred; MBA a plus)
• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience within a bank or financial institution
• Deep knowledge of banking regulations, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with Board members and regulators
