Job description:

Position Summary:

The Chemical Waste Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and managing existing client accounts for waste collection, disposal, recycling, and treatment services. This individual will identify opportunities, build relationships, and deliver tailored waste management solutions across industrial, manufacturing, and laboratory environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of clients across numerous sectors.
  • Prospect and secure new business through cold calls, site visits, referrals, and networking.
  • Conduct waste audits and assessments to determine customer needs and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with operations and compliance teams to prepare proposals, pricing, and service agreements.
  • Collaborate with operations and environmental compliance teams to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of RCRA, EPA, DOT, and state environmental regulations.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth strategy.
  • Represent NSSI at industry events, trade shows, and professional conferences.
  • Assist in the collection of invoiced revenue from Customers.
  • Track activities, opportunities, and accounts
  • Manages and controls Sales expenses.
  • Maintain daily awareness of sales activities and results.
  • Performs other duties and tasks assigned from time to time by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of sales experience in waste management, environmental services, or chemical distribution.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste classifications, manifests, and RCRA/DOT/EPA regulations strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel locally or regionally as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
