Chemical Process Technician (Development Track)
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Compensation: $24.50/hour
About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing chemical manufacturing and process development company focused on high-quality production, continuous improvement, and building scalable operational systems.
They are seeking an early-career Chemical Technician to join their team in a role intentionally designed as a development pathway — not a traditional operator position.
This individual will gain hands-on experience in chemical batch production while also contributing to process improvement, quality systems, and technical projects. Over time, this role is structured to provide exposure and growth into areas such as Quality, Engineering, and Project Management.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to build a strong technical foundation and grow within a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Execute chemical batch production following established procedures
- Operate mixing, filtration, and transfer equipment
- Monitor processes and maintain accurate production documentation
- Handle raw materials and finished goods, including packaging and shipment prep
- Support SOP development, documentation, and quality initiatives
- Assist with process improvement and operational support projects
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related scientific/technical field required
- 0–5 years of experience (internships or lab experience welcome)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
- Scientific curiosity and desire to learn chemical manufacturing processes
- Ability to work both hands-on in production and on technical assignments
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with PPE and chemicals
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and meet physical job requirements
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and adaptability
Why This Role Stands Out
- Designed as a career development opportunity, not a long-term operator role
- Exposure to production, quality systems, and process improvement initiatives
- Clear pathway into Quality, Engineering, or Project-based roles
- Small, growing team with strong visibility and impact
- Opportunity to build a strong foundation in chemical manufacturing early in your career
