SUMMARY:
Provides charge nurse duties in direct patient care in the Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation department. Charge nurse will be in charge of monitoring the direct duties of the nursing assistants and medication aides. Communicates with physicians, nurses, and other staff about patients’ clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in conditions or response to treatment. May perform duties as a charge nurse as required and scheduled.
Charge Nurse Duties:
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: None. Six months nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Current Texas LVN or RN license and Current CPR certification. Must maintain current licensure at all times
Miscellaneous:
Must remain knowledgeable in the rules and regulations set forth by the state of TX for long term care
