Our client, an American retailer that owns and operates 4 brands that are well known, is looking for someone to join their team as a Change Management Consultant. This role is onsite in Pleasanton, CA.

The team is looking for someone to drive enterprise data quality, governance standards, and process improvements across retail supply chain operations. This role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure trusted data supports strategic decision-making across procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics functions.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead data stewardship initiatives across the end-to-end retail supply chain, including procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics
- Establish and enforce enterprise data governance standards and best practices
- Drive improvements in data quality, consistency, accessibility, and usability
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to optimize supply chain data structures and flows
- Translate complex datasets into actionable insights for business leaders
- Present recommendations and progress updates to senior executives and C-suite stakeholders
- Support implementation and adoption of governance platforms and metadata management tools
- Identify opportunities to automate governance workflows using emerging AI-enabled solutions
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
Required Skills
- 15+ years of experience in data stewardship or data governance, preferably within the retail supply chain domain
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes (procurement, planning, logistics)
- Demonstrated success driving process improvement initiatives
- Highly analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable recommendations
- Strong executive presence with experience communicating effectively at the C-suite level
- Deep expertise in: Data modeling, Metadata management, Supply chain data structures and system landscapes
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SQL and data-profiling techniques
- Experience with data governance and data quality platforms (experience with ATLAN is a plus)
- Experience supporting or designing process-related AI agents
- Certification or hands-on experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
