LifeLinc Anesthesia is seeking skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our team at St. Francis Hospital (Park and Bartlett) in Memphis and Bartlett, Tennessee. About the Facility:

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis is proud to have served the East Memphis community since 1974. The 479-bed facility was the first full-service hospital in the rapidly growing area and has continued to grow since the doors opened. The 42-acre campus is home to the hospital, two medical office buildings, and the University of Tennessee/Saint Francis Family Practice Residency Building.

Opened in 2004, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett became the first full-service health care facility in Bartlett, Tennessee. The team is committed to providing quality care that serves the needs of Bartlett and all of the North and Northeast Shelby County community. As the community grows, the scope of care grows.

It is preferable that the CRNA working in this full-time position would work in both the Memphis and Bartlett locations at St. Francis Hospital.

Case Mix:

  • All specialties at Park Avenue - Memphis location
  • OR; Neuro-spine cases, no cardiac, thoacic, vascular or OB at Bartlett location

Schedule: No Call Required

Responsibilities

Administrative Duties:

  • The CRNA must function as a collaborator and team member to accomplish applicable goals and functions ofLifeLinc.
  • Develop standards for continuity of care and case management.
  • Remains cognizant of rules and regulation as they pertain to the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and remains compliant at a local, state, and federal level.

Clinical Duties:

The CRNA scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Performing and timely and accurately documentingapre-anesthetic assessmentsand patientevaluations, including requesting consultations and diagnostic studies; selecting, obtaining, ordering, or administering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids; and obtaining informed consent for anesthesia.
  • Theday-to-dayresponsibility of the CRNA for this position will be toprovide professional anesthesiaservices to patients in accordance with the standard of care and state and federal laws and may include any of all of the following:
    • Managing a patient's airway.
    • Managing emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
    • Releasing or discharging patients from a post-anesthesia care area, and providing post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care related to anesthesia side effects or complications.
    • Responding to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
    • Additional nurse anesthesia responsibilities which are within the expertise of the individual CRNA.

Communication:

  • Attends meetings as needed
  • Works with peers to obtain required information on a timely basis and to solve outstanding issues, as appropriate.
  • Promotes and contributes positively to the teamwork of the department by assisting coworkers, contributing ideas and problem-solving with co-workers.

Qualifications

Education and experience equivalent to:

The Nurse Anesthetist shall be a Graduate of an approved school of nursing and a graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor. The CRNA will have successfully completed the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council on Certification or its predecessor's.

Additional Qualifications

  • At least two years of independent experience
  • ACLS/BLS/PALS certification
