Overview

We are seeking aMedical-Surgical TelemetryCNA, also referred to as a Med-Surg Tele CNA in our Medical Surgical and Telemetry Departments. The Med-Surg/Tele CNAassistnurses by providing basic patient care,monitoringvital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role inobservingpatients, reporting changes, andmaintaininga safe, supportive environment to promote recovery.This position is on a per diem basis, meaningPD/PRNas needed.

Shift’s Available: Nights

Hours:12-hour shifts

Employment Type:Per Diem (PD / PRN)

Location:Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, AL

** We are seeking aCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Med-Surg/Telemetry team.Under RN supervision, you willassistpatients with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care, and helpmaintaina safe environment.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Basic patient care:help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating

• Vital signs monitoring:take and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation

• Mobilityassistance:help patients get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices.

• EKG lead maintenance:ensure telemetry monitors (heart monitors) are properly connected and functioning — though Certified NursingAssistant’s(CNA’s)don'tusually interpret heart rhythms, they might recognize when alarms go off andimmediatelyalert registered nurses

• Observation:monitor patients for any physical changes (shortness of breath, chest pain, altered mental status) and quickly notifying the nursing staff

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire

• Current BLS upon hire and maintaincurrent

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Possess knowledge of Medical Terminology

Additional Qualifications That AreaPlus:

• Minimum six months ofpreviousexperience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office
