Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Pediatric Float Pool - Trauma

Cedar Park Med is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Pediatric Float Pool assignment. This role requires experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and the ability to provide safe, compassionate care while supporting pediatric patients, families, and the healthcare team.

• Evening and Night shifts

• Mix of 4, 8-hour shifts, and 4, 12-hour shifts | 80 hours every two weeks

• Every other weekend and some holidays required

• 13 weeks assignment with possible extension

***Hiring for both local and traveler positions! Only candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for traveler roles. Rates vary based on experience and whether the position is local or traveler.***

• Current New York State CNA certification

• Level 1 trauma experience

• One (1) year of patient care experience

• Able to obtain and maintain CPR certification

• Must be willing to FLOAT!

• Pediatric patient care experience

• Float pool or multi-unit experience

• Perform direct and indirect nursing care activities, including obtaining vital signs, toileting, bathing, and feeding patients based on assignment

• Serve as a safety companion for patients identified as a safety risk

• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach

• Work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team

• Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development and respond to changing patient needs

• Maintain a safe work environment and participate in quality improvement initiatives

• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and maintain positive public relations

• Obtain, record, exchange, and convey patient information accurately

• Take an active role in personal and professional development

• Make decisions guided by ethical principles
