Certified Medical Assistant

Central Health Management is seeking a qualified Certified Medical Assistant for a full time contracted position to work in a clinic setting near Valparaiso, Indiana. In this role, you will prepare treatment rooms and provide initial care for each patient, including taking vitals, updating history and understanding the chief complaints. You will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure each patient is provided exceptional care. You will perform clinical procedures including EKG, routine U/A, phlebotomy and other medical tests. You will dispense medications as directed by the Physician or Nurse Practitioner.

To qualify for this role, you will have:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant Training curriculum
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMTO, NCCT or ARMA)
• Current Certification in AHA or ARC BLS and AED
• Knowledge of EHR software
• Effective communication skills and collaboration abilities
• Skills in prioritizing and planning work accordingly
• Knowledge of HIPPA requirements
