About the Role:
The Occupational Therapist/CHT independently evaluates patients, develops individualized plans of care, and provides evidence‑based treatment to support functional recovery. This role includes documentation of all services, accurate charge entry, participation in department initiatives, and collaboration with the OT and Rehab teams. You will also support organizational safety programs, equipment training, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients referred for Occupational Therapy and hand rehabilitation
Develop and implement individualized plans of care
Document all care and ensure timely, accurate charge entry
Collaborate with the OT and Rehab teams to support coordinated patient care
Participate in department projects, equipment training, and safety programs
Provide patient education on equipment use, splinting, and adaptive strategies
Support patients and families coping with trauma, disability, or major upper‑extremity injuries
Requirements:
Knowledge/Experience: Has demonstrated ability to deliver competent, appropriate care and coordination of a care plan that is ordered and approved by referring physicians. Has demonstrated ability to deliver specialized services related to rehabilitation of hands and upper extremity.
Education: Graduate of accredited school for Occupational Therapy as well as advanced training and continuing education to maintain a Certified Hand Therapist certificate.
License/Certification/Registry: Licensed in the state of Montana as an Occupational Therapist and certified as a Certified Hand Therapist.
